Debt Management Unit Mission Statement

 

The Mission of the Debt Management Unit of the Treasury Department is to provide accurate, meaningful and timely information regarding the government’s debt activities to management and to process all debt payments in an efficient and timely manner such that all creditors are paid when due.

 

Additionally, Debt Management Unit’s Mission includes providing information that will allow Afghanistan to make sound financial choices regarding new debt and the reconciliation and renegotiation of old debt on terms and conditions favorable to Afghanistan.
